United Nations Stamps

In continuation of the celebration of the new millennium through the issue of postage stamps, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) has released a set of six commemorative stamps on the theme "Our World 2000" on 30 May 2000.

Each stamp reproduces a painting which was submitted to the Winsor & Newton Worldwide Millennium Painting Competition on the theme "My Country in the Year 2000".

The stamps, in denominations of 33 cents, 60 cents, Fs. 0,90, Fs. 1,10, S 7/Euro 0,51 and S 8/Euro 0,58, are issued in sheets of 20 stamps.

Stamps issued by the UNPA are acceptable for use as postage from the United Nations facilities, and are recognized around the world as highly collectable.

The issuance comprises a set of six stamps each illustrating a painting in the exhibition. They are:
